Looks like U of T is willing to give its TA union a 2-year contract.
At U of T, the TA union does not include sessional faculty, so a strike by this unit of the union would not be as disruptive as the strike at York. The sessional faculty are in Unit 3, and their contract expires in 2009.

Fyi, a two-year contract for the U of T teaching assistants would be entirely different from the York situation. Since the U of T TAs have been without a contract for a year, that means the contract would be up in fall of 2009, thus avoiding the 2010 coordination date. So U of T has offered both 2 year and 4 year contracts - but CUPE 3902 is asking for 3 years.
Interesting. Thanks for that.
A quick clarification: the contract of TAs at the UofT expired on 30 April 2008; a retroactively applied two-year deal -- which is the framework that both the union and admin are working with -- would mean an expiration date of April 2010.
